Mrs. Alma came into my life just when I needed her the most. Being the owner of Candy Cane's Daycare for 10 years (a Family Home Daycare) with the help of Mrs. Alma I opened an additional center right across the street from my home daycare. When my center opened it was fully furnish will new equipment received through a $68,000 grant written by Mrs. Alma.
Mrs. Alma left me with all the important tools needed to be a successful owner of two (2) Childcare centers in my community. Both Candy Cane's Daycare and Candy Cane's Learning Center are 3 star rated centers and I thank Mrs. Alma for providing my staff with all the training needed for us to accomplish this goal. My family and I are very thankful for Mrs. Alma, and she is awesome at what she does.

At the age of three my mother quit her job teaching and opened a child care center to make sure the primary school years for my sister and I would be developed with sound teaching and supportive teachers.
Thirty years later, my mother is retired and continues to teach others in the child care industry. I am now the owner/director of Bright Start Preschool. My mother has been a beacon of light that has drawn me from a career as an architect to that of a Child Care Director. My husband and I now own the Child Care Center.
My mom, Alma Williams, has been instrumental in helping me to find my niche in life. I could not have asked for a better profession that never feels like a job, but rather a place where new adventures are embraced daily! Thanks Mom!
