Refund and Cancellation Policy 

 


The following refund policy applies to all NICA courses and events.  For questions please contact NICA at www.nica-national.com before registering for the event

 

We rely on your attendance to make important arrangements, so if for any reason you need to withdraw, please notify us in writing (email is okay) 15 days or more before the start date of your workshop. At that time we will refund your deposit by check, less a 35% cancellation fee. If notification of cancellation is made less than 15 days before the start of the workshop, no refunds will be given.   If notification of cancellation is made less than 15 days before the start of the workshop, we must retain the entire balance paid.   NICA reserves the right to cancel a reservation if full payment has not been received by 15 days before the start of the workshop. No refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal after the workshop begins.

 

NICA is not responsible for cancellations due to medical emergencies.  In the event that a workshop must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, all fees and deposits are refunded in full or may be transferred to another workshop within 12 months. NICA is not responsible for reimbursement of non-refundable airline tickets in the event of a workshop cancellation.  If sufficient confirmed registrations have not been received two weeks in advance of the scheduled starting date, the workshop may be cancelled.   Please check on your workshop status before making travel arrangements.


REFUNDS
Cancellation requests submitted in writing to registration@nica-national.com at least 10 business days before the start of the workshop will receive an 50% refund.    NO REFUNDS will be issued on or after the 10th day before the start date of the workshop.     


TRANSFERS


NICA will permit a ONE-TIME ONLY workshop registration transfer without financial penalty.  Transfers may only be made based on workshop dates, not workshop content.  Any additional transfer thereafter will incur a transfer fee assessed at 25% of course tuition or $65, whichever is less, per registration.  Transfer requests must be submitted in writing to registration@nica-national.com at least 15 business days before the start of the workshop. Transfer offer expires 6 months from the start date of the course and if no action is taken during this 6 month grace period, you will forfeit your tuition.  

  
Transfer requests received less than 15 business days before the start of the workshop will not be refunded or eligible for transfer. 


REPLACEMENTS

 
Participants unable to attend a workshop may send a replacement.  Replacement requests must be submitted in writing to registration@nica-national.com before 12PM 10 days prior to the workshop and include original participant name and contact information and replacement participant name and contact information. The replacement must meet the requirements for the workshop.   Non-members may not replace NICA members.

 

 

 If a participant chooses to cancel their confirmed registration, or cannot or does not\attend the workshop, the

 

 following refunds will apply:

 

 

 

   - The registered participant may invite another person to substitute their place in the workshop (in which they are     

     

      registered) at any time at no charge;

 

 

 

   - If notice is received 15 or less days from the scheduled starting date, no refund will be offered; and

 

 

   - If notice is received 15 or more days from the scheduled starting date, a 50% refund will be offered.

 

 

 

 

ALL REQUESTS

Please allow up to 5 business days for refund, transfer or replacement request to be processed. 
NICA reserves the right to CANCEL and/or RESCHEDULE any training at any time.  In the event NICA cancels a scheduled workshop, we will notify all registered participants immediately, and provide either a full refund or free transfer.   


NICA does not refund travel, lodging and/or meal expenses in the event of a workshop cancellation.  NICA recommends booking refundable travel arrangements.

 

LATECOMER POLICY

Please be prompt! Workshop participants arriving more than 15 minutes late may not be allowed into the class nor will a refund be issued.  Prepare to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before the start of the workshop.

 

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

NICA serves the entire community and welcomes people with disabilities. So that people with environmental illness (or multiple chemical sensitivity) can minimize their exposure to harmful substances, we ask that you not wear perfumes or scented personal care products to workshops. Please notify us if you have severe allergies to dogs.  It’s not uncommon for other participants to require the use of guide dogs and we would like to find a reasonable solution that will allow everyone to enjoy the full benefits of our workshops.
